Location It is only a very short five minute walk to the lovely family beach at Praia da Luz where a variety of water sports are available. There is a supermarket only a minute's walk away and many restaurants within a five minute walk. Praia da Luz is a great family resort towards the western end of the Portuguese Algarve coast. It has a lovely sandy beach approximately half a mile long, with a rock area at one end, and is backed by a palm tree lined promenade. The town has many restaurants and bars, a bank with cash point, supermarkets, a pharmacy and shops. As cottage 32 is so centrally located and close to the beach, shops and restaurants it is by no means essential to hire a car. A taxi from the airport will cost around £50 pounds. Car hire however will open up the possibility of exploring further a field. Praia da Luz is a five to ten minute drive from the lovely western Algarve town of Lagos with its many shops, restaurants, marina and more sophisticated nightlife.
